I had these ingredients that have just been taking up space in my fridge and pantry so I decided to see if I could make something out of it. Thus smothered pork chops that require very little ingredients. It turned out pretty good. You can serve it with rice and a side of steamed veggies.

Ingredients:

4 thick cut pork chops (I used bone in, but you can use boneless)

1 packet of Lipton Onion Mushroom soup mix

1 8oz can of Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom soup

1 cup of hot water

half a cup of flour

your favorite seasonings (I used garlic powder, paprika, ground pepper and salt)

In a dish combine the flour and seasonings. The amount of seasoning will be to your taste thus no measurements. Lightly coat the pork chops with the seasoned flour.

Cover the bottom of a large pot with olive oil and turn the stove to medium high. Brown the pork chops on both sides until there’s a golden crust. Once your pork chops are nice and brown, set them aside on a plate and wrap with foil to keep warm. You’ll want to remove all the oil from the pot, but you don’t need to wipe it down.

Add the cream of mushroom soup with half a can of water. In a small bowl add the hot water and onion mushroom soup packet. Stir until it’s all incorporated and add to the pot. You will stir the mixture on medium high until well blended.

Then turn the stove on low and add the pork chops. Cover the pot and let simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
