The weather in North Texas has been so pleasant lately that you can’t help but think that fall is coming. I love the fall season. It’s my favorite one. While most of my friends dreamed of being summer brides, I always wanted to get married in the fall. I, apparently, won’t be getting married this fall so I am making due with new bedding.
I LOVE quilts. I decided that it was time to put away the spring/summer quilt for a fall/winter one. Quilts are so expensive, but I found a beautiful one from Overstock that was very reasonable. It wasn’t the fall/winter color combination that I was looking for, but I fell in love with it.
It didn’t come with matching shams so I went to Marshalls to see if I could find some that would go with my quilt. I couldn’t find any, BUT I did find these beautiful bedsheets with pink roses all over them. They were a perfect match for my quilt. They are also the softest sheets I’ve ever laid on. They’re Hillcrest sheets in case you were wondering. They’re 310 thread count, but are way softer than my 600 ones.
The second I take my camera out, these two have to get into the pictures. They must be Asian.
The large roses at the bottom left of the picture are embroidered on the quilt. When you see it from a distance, the entire quilt looks sagey-green. However, up close it’s a soft butter yellow.
These are the softest sheets in the world. They’re Hillcrest deep fitting sheets in the Summer Rose design. I enjoyed the sheets so much that I went back to Marshalls and bought another set. In the event that something happens to them, I have a backup. They are incredibly girly, but it’s not like I’m sharing the bed with a man or anything. Jackson refuses to sleep with us. So, it’s just me and Hana. If you look closely, you can see that she’s been here. She left hairs on the sheets.
If Jackson has a problem with how completely feminine the bedroom is, he hasn’t said anything about it. I should probably drape a red flannel blanket over the bed just in case.
