I had chicken wings that I didn’t know what to do with so I decided to marinate them in HiddenValley Spicy Ranch salad dressing, paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Why? I don’t really know. It sounded good at around 10PM last night.

I marinated the wings over night, but then what? Krista was talking about fried chicken at work today, so I thought I could do my version of fried chicken. I remembered this recipe for fried chicken that had nothing to do with frying. It was baked chicken that looked like fried chicken. Are you lost?

I had some Panko on hand so I decided to coat the wings in Japanese bread crumbs.

I baked the wings in the oven for 45 minutes at 375 degrees. It looks like fried chicken, doesn’t it?

It tasted okay, but the texture was kind of weird. The Panko was really crispy, but kind of crumbly. I don’t think fried chicken should be crumbly. Should it? I think next time, I will season the bread crumbs, because it was kind of bland. It’s a good thing the chicken was well seasoned.
