I’m working on it

The dog trainer came last night. We spent the entire time outside learning how to walk. Hana and Jack were perfect little angels for the dog trainer. I think it has something to do with him being over 200 pounds and 6 feet tall. I’m not allowed to let Hana corral me any more. I’m not allowed to let Jack get ahead of me any more. I have to be tough.

Many of my neighbors who were driving towards their complexes, slowed down to watch our training session. I’m sure they were all thinking the same thing. Good for her. It’s about time. I’m tired of seeing her being dragged around. This one neighbor came out with her two dogs (a German Shepard and another large dog) and they went nuts when they saw my dogs. Jackson and Hana tried to act up, but the trainer put a stop to it. My dogs sat there and watched the other dogs silently while my neighbor struggled. She ended up taking her dogs back in, but came out with just the German Shepard and watched us train. I was like - Hey don’t piggy back off my lessons. Pay for your own!

So, tonight I took them out separately. I took Hana out first and we had a really good walk. She tried to pull me a couple of times, but for the most part she walked with me. She even kept her eye on me which was great. She would watch me out of the corner of her eye and if I slowed down, she would slow down.

Jack doesn’t pull like Hana, but he likes to walk in front of me. This is something that he’s not suppose to do. I had to correct him many times. We are suppose to walk side by side Jackson Edmond! It was breezy outside today so Jack really enjoyed himself. He loves it when it’s breezy.

All in all, we had a wonderful walk tonight. Sigh.

Hopefully, tomorrow will be just as nice…

awww!!! Good for you!!! I’m excited that it’s all working out and Hana and Jacky are doing well. I started laughing when you said they sat and watched the other dogs… hahahaha. Poor things are terrified of your trainer.
